Great design takes time. The best work evolves from rigorous thinking, detailed implementation and thorough evaluation.
The client may choose to discuss the project via email, phone appointment or personal consultation.
The client must provide the designer with specific details for the project including all pertinent material required for completion. This includes envisioned concept, color preferences and design style along with necessary elements such as text copy, images to be used, and samples of work.
Turnaround time will be determined by the client's needs, scope of the project and the designer's current workload. Average time for an average project is approximately 2-3 weeks. Projects can often take longer than estimated depending on client feedback. If a client requires a rush job with a tight deadline, it can be arranged for an additional charge of 50%. If the deadline is within 2 days, the fees double.
Logo design will require a completed questionnaire to aide in creation of logo concepts. Available on request.
Please note that the pricing above is a guideline. Some projects may require more time and effort and prices may have to be adjusted to reflect that. If revisions exceed the specified amount listed, the hourly rate will be implemented for the remainder of the workload.
The creative process is started once a 50% deposit is received.
Check, cash or direct deposit to Chase Bank or Paypal is accepted.
Payments are non-refundable.
Design services are not subject to sales tax.
A 1099 may be required at the end of the year if services exceed $800.
If stock art it used, it will be billed at actual cost.
Any other materials required to complete the project will be billed at actual cost.
Any required travel will be billed to the client, at the standard hourly rate plus $0.555 per mile.
Editing and double checking that information is correct is the responsibility of the client. Basic spell check will be run, but it cannot catch names, acronyms, contact info, pricing, etc. If incorrect information is not emailed in writing for correction prior to completion, the designer cannot be held responsible.
When ready, the concepts/designs are emailed to the client for review. The client provides feedback for revision process. Upon approval from the client, the final artwork is emailed to the client in the requested formats after final payment of the remaining balance is received. The copyright then belongs to the client.
What happens if a client does not like a design?
A designer is usually chosen based on impressions, referrals, portfolio and pricing. Pricing is commonly reflective of the level of service provided. If the client does not like the artwork created within the set price scale, further artwork can be created for additional hourly fees. In the worst case scenario, a project may be abandoned by either the client or the designer and unfortunately loss would then occur on both sides.
